AberdeenGroup has released an Enterprise Insight Report about M2M service applications. Summary:

"Best-in-class companies have achieved marked improvements in work orders completed per day, overall service revenues, and number of emergency work orders per week as a result of their M2M solution deployments. In search of such performance gains, OEMs should carefully consider the criticality and value of serviceable assets, as well as the frequency and variability of service requirements when assessing the viability of an M2M solution."
