Oracle M2M Initiative

I posted a story about Prolificx and their Vector 300FM Windows CE based embedded mobile gateway. This weekend I noticed an announcement concerning a partnership between Prolificx and Oracle. Oracle is quoted in the press release: "The enterprise Telematics market requires solutions that leverage the greatest value out of the mobile assets; to enable this, more advanced hardware solutions are required to support processing and connectivity requirements,�” said Clive Meakins, Director, Oracle EMEA Telematics Solution Centre. The Prolificx Vector series of mobile gateway devices couple with our Telematics solution framework enables us to provide an economical, flexible, and maintainable offering to our customers."
